I am a designer. I am a game designer. Being a designer I can create a world of my own. Designing things and Video gaming has always been a passion of mine. I always wanted to create my own game from my own ideas and sketches. I work hard to reach my goal and I believe that if you try hard and believe in yourself you can accomplish anything and become what you have always wanted to be.

Rhythm

Kinesthetic Empathy: When a visual experience actually stimulates one of our other senses.

In this image from Cooking Mama, you can tell by the steam coming from the stew that it is hot.

Legato: The Rythm of moving or flowing.

In this image you can tell the wind is flowing because of the direction the paper is moving from the dogs.
____________________________________________________________________________________

Alternating Rythm: consists of successive patterns in which the same elements reappear in a regular order.

In this image the pattern is used to give off a code readable by certain objects to give a demon of a game.

Balance

Balance: Achieved in a composition by creating two opposite forces.

In this image of Naruto and Sasuke there is balance between them because they are both opposite forces.
________________________________________________________

Symmetrical Balance: shapes are repeated in the same positions on either side of a vertical axis.

____________________________________________________________________________________

Asymmetrical balance:   balance is achieved with dissimilar objects that have equal visual weight or equal eye attraction.

In this picture you can clearly tell the creature is Asymmetrical because of the arms and legs.

Scale and Proportion

Human scale refrence: size in relation to other art, in relation to its surroundings, or in relation to human size

In this picture you can see that the pokemon Giratina is larger than a human boy.

____________________________________________________________________________________

Contrast of scale: Something Unexpected or Exaggerated withing the image that catches the viewers attention.

In this picture the unexpected object is the giant katamari. you can tell its bigger than mount fuji.
___________________________________________________________________________________

Surrealism: an art form based on paradox, on images that cannot be explained in rational terms.

In this image the dogs form is distorted and unproportioned but some viewers might be able to tell that its a dog.

Emphasis and Focal point

Emphasis by Contrast:

<http://www.last.fm/music/The World Ends With You OST>.

In this picture you can tell the focal point is the group of kids because they are the only ones in color.

___________________________________________________________________________________
Emphasis by Isolation: When you place an object by itself the viewers are drawn to it.

In this image mrs.pacman is separated from the aliens so viewers are drawn to her first.
____________________________________________________________________________________
Emphasis by Placement: When the obeject is placed in the center and draws your attention even with extra stuff next to it.

Unity

Gestalt: visual phenomenon that our eyes see the whole object before we perceive the individual objects in the picture.

In this picture from the game Gestalt you focus on the whole image then see something diffrent when you look at it from a diffrent view.

Continuation: Continuation, naturally, means that something “continues” usually a line, an edge, or a direction from one form to another. The viewer’s eye is carried smoothly from one element to the next.

In this picture the character is clearly being continued but diffrent colors are used.

Collage: Individual images put together with the same theme is basically a collage.

This Collage shows all the Sonic characters in one big mass.

Color

Complementary Colors: To make color more saturated you can use grey or the complimentary color, the color directly across from the color.

In this picture the controller is more noticable because the colors are compliments of each other.
<http://media.photobucket.com/image/halo red and green/ModdedControllers/PRODUCTred__34752_zoom.jpg?o=11>.

Cool and Warm Colors: Colors that appeal to our sense of touch. Colors such as red, yellow, and orange are warm colors where blue, purple, and green and cool colors.

<http://media.photobucket.com/image/kingdom hearts/seventhof7/kingdom-hearts.jpg?o=14>.

In this picture warm and cool colors are used to separate the characters. The good characters are on the left with the warm colors while the characters of darkness are on the right with the cool colors. The characters down below are neutral because they are neither good or bad.

Color Dominance: Areas of emphasis in a work of art create visual interest and, naturally, have been carefully planned by the artist. Color is very often the means chosen to provide this emphasis color is probably the most direct device to use.

<http://media.photobucket.com/image/pokemon black/SketchFox7/pokemon-black-white.jpg?o=5>.

In this picture the logo pokemon Black and White are the focal point and you can tell by the diffrent color borders they have to make them stand out.

value

Light and Dark: Value is simply the art and design term of light and dark. our perception of figure and ground depends on relationships of light and dark.
In this picture the character Sora is in diffrent shades of black and white.
<http://media.photobucket.com/image/the timeless river/haru_sakura_petals/Games/Kingdom Hearts/timelessriversora.jpg?o=30>.

Value Patterns: The arrangment and the amount of variation in light and dark, indpendent of the colors used.

<http://media.photobucket.com/image/donkey kong/Nethai_2008/donkey_kong.jpg?o=2>

In this picture the colors are arranged in diffrent variations to make the stage pop.

Value emphasis: A valuable use of light and dark contrast is used to create a focal point or center of attention in a design.

<http://media.photobucket.com/image/mario galaxy/masterdanny77/super-mario-galaxy.jpg?o=17>.

In this picture you can tell the focal point is on mario because the background is mixtures of light and dark shades of diffrent colors.
